Traditional Mexican Drinks + classic margarita!

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker, cocktail strainer

Ingredients 

  • 4 oz tequila blanco or reposado
  • 1 ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz triple sec liqueur (such as Cointreau)
  • 1 lime wedge (+ 2 lime wheels for garnish)
  • 1 Tablespoon fine salt (for glass rims)

Instructions
 

  • Run a lime wedge around the outer rims of 2 margarita glasses and dip rims in salt. Set aside.
  • Put into a cocktail shaker tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and a pinch of salt. Shake until chilled.
  • Fill each margarita glass with fresh ice and strain margarita cocktail into the glasses. Garnish with lime wheels and serve.
