Fresh agua de durazno is a refreshing Mexican peach agua fresca made with ripe peaches, lime juice, water, and sugar. Easy, fruity, and perfect for summer.

ripe peaches
(washed and sliced)

water
(divided)

¼ to ½
cup
granulated sugar
(or to taste)

lime
(juiced)
▢
Ice
(for serving)
Instructions
Add the peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water to a blender.
Blend until completely smooth.
Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing gently to extract as much liquid as possible.
Add the remaining 4 cups of water and stir well.
Taste and add more sugar if needed.
Chill until cold or serve immediately over ice.
Notes
The riper the peaches, the sweeter and more flavorful the agua fresca will be.
Yellow peaches work beautifully if you can find them, but other varieties work just as well.
Garnish with some slices of peaches and lime for a pretty drink.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and stir before serving.
