Step 1: Prepare the garnishes for tacos de bistec: salsa, onions, cilantro, sautéed onions and chilies, etc.

You can also make your own corn tortillas because they're a lot better for tacos!

My favorite salsa for tacos de bistec is "Salsa Taquera"

Step 2: Season bistec meat with salt, pepper, garlic, and cumin powder.

Step 3: Cook for 4-5 minutes with oil in a pan. Until the meat starts to release its juices and changes its color.

Step 4: Slightly cover the meat with water and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.

Step 5: Heat tortillas. Assemble tacos de bistec with meat, chopped onions, and cilantro. Serve with salsa, lime wedges, and sautéed onions and chilies.
