Chamoy sauce is made of various ingredients, like chilies, dried fruits, salt, lime juice, and hibiscus flowers.  Chamoy has a sweet, tangy, salty, and spicy taste that goes perfect with snacks and drinks.

Step 1: Place prunes, dried apricots, jamaica flowers, chili powder, sugar, salt and water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.


Step 2: Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Ingredients should be very soft and cooked through.


Step 3: Allow to cool down, then place everything in a blender or food processor. Add lime juice and blend until smooth.


Step 4: Transfer the chamoy sauce to a jar and serve right away or store in the fridge for up to 1 month!

How To Use  Chamoy Salsa

Served with fruits (pineapple, mangos, apples). Dip for snacks (cheetos, tostilocos, chips). Make drinks (like Mangonada or Michelada). Use it as glaze (for pork chops, chicken wings, etc.)
