Step 1: Place prunes, dried apricots, jamaica flowers, chili powder, sugar, salt and water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Step 2: Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Ingredients should be very soft and cooked through.
Step 3: Allow to cool down, then place everything in a blender or food processor. Add lime juice and blend until smooth.
Step 4: Transfer the chamoy sauce to a jar and serve right away or store in the fridge for up to 1 month!
Served with fruits (pineapple, mangos, apples). Dip for snacks (cheetos, tostilocos, chips). Make drinks (like Mangonada or Michelada). Use it as glaze (for pork chops, chicken wings, etc.)
