Step 1: Cut fennel into wedges and remove the core.
Step 2: Boil fennel until soft, then drain.
Step 3: Prepare and butter a baking dish. Layer fennel, half of the sauce, asiago cheese, and parmigiano-reggiano.
Step 4: Repeat the layers and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
