Agua de Sandia is a refreshing popular Mexican drink made of ripe watermelon, water, and sugar.   The taste is like a mix between watermelon juice and a smoothie.

Ingredients

2 1/2 lb watermelon (chunks, seeds removed) 8 1/2 cups water 1 lime (juice)  ice (as needed) 1/4 cup brown sugar (or your favorite sweetener)

Step 1: Add watermelon to a blender, pour two cups of water, and blend until smooth.

Step 2: Strain watermelon mixture into a large pitcher.

Step 3: Add the remaining water and the lime juice.

"

Step 4: Add sugar to taste mixing thoroughly to dissolve it. Serve in glasses over crushed ice.

An easy sweet treat that is refreshing and colorful!
