fresh guavas
(about 1 pound)

sugar

water
Instructions
Wash guayabas under cold water.
Cut the end where the flower was attached and then cut each guava in half.
Place guayabas in a blender, then add two cups of water and the sugar sugar.
Blend until perfectly pureed.
Strain the guava mixture into a large pitcher.
Add the remaining water, mix well, and then adjust the sugar to taste.
Serve in glasses with ice.
Notes
Choose guavas that are nicely ripe because they are the sweetest.
Adding ice directly to the glasses instead of the pitcher helps maintain the drink’s flavor and prevents dilution.
You can also use frozen guavas to make this drink. Don’t need to thaw them, just blend them with water as the recipe calls.
