¼cuptamarind Mexican candies(pulparindo or other kind)
1cupmango(chopped)
1largecucumber(chopped)
1cupjicama (chopped)
1cupJapanese peanuts(Japanese peanuts)
hot salsa(as needed)
Chamoy salsa(as needed)
Tajín powder(as needed)
1lime(juice)
Instructions
Arrange Tostitos on a large serving platter.
Add chopped fruit on top.
Add Tamarind candies, Takis chips and Japanese peanuts.
Drizzle with hot salsa, lime juice and Chamoy salsa.
Sprinkle with Tajín powder and serve immediately.
Notes
You can make this recipe ahead by cutting and preparing all the ingredients a day before then place the fruit in separate containers with a tight lid and keep them in the fridge.
Once assembled, the chips can get soggy very fast due to the salsas. So, the best you can do is to eat them right away and don’t store them for later.
Jícama is a sweet, crunchy root vegetable but is not easy to find outside Mexico. You can replace it with daikon, pears, or apples.
